About

Security Credit — Кредит Безопасности — is a concept journal on the security industries, with an eye on the future. Speculative editorial fiction, openly stated as such.

What this is

The journal is a concept project. Names of authors, ISSN, dates, addresses, and statistics are part of editorial fiction. We say so on every page and inside every schema.org block. The goal is to demonstrate what a 21st-century European journal on the security industries could look like: slow, optical, attentive to the body and the city, independent of the news cycle.

What we write about

The city as a teaching ground. The human body as a navigation instrument. Technologies of surveillance, defence, and prediction — from the inside, as a craft rather than a news beat. The way materials and optics still carry an evidentiary weight that the digital pixel has long lost. Sections include Personal Hygiene, Architects of the Shield, Perimeter, Laboratory, Reconstruction, Intelligence Brief, Equipment, Cultural Code, Strategic Archive, Foreign Panorama, Mechanism, and Manifesto.

Geography

Europe. Mostly DACH — Berlin, Munich, Vienna, Zurich, Bern — and the Nordic countries. Currency in euro, clocks in CET. We do not pretend to cover the world; we pretend to listen carefully to one part of Europe.

Format

Long essays, reports, and interviews. Between 1,500 and 4,500 words. Bilingual publications — RU and EN — treated as two independent documents linked to each other, not as machine translations of one. Illustrations live in the journal’s editorial graphic style: half-tone, Soviet HUD plates in red, cyan, and green, a hint of Ogonyok typography and the graphic novel.

Editorial posture

A concept project is an editorial gesture, not a marketing one. We try to: (1) not present anything as fact that is not, and mark it as fiction; (2) not claim access a concept project by definition does not have; (3) publish corrections of our own analytical errors in the “Manifesto” section; (4) not publish advertising.
